asian buffet
we knew we would be eating lots of mexican this week, so we decided to enjoy one of brownsville’s many asian buffets tonight. this one was called asian buffet.

one of the most exciting elements of asian buffet was the make-your-own stir fry zone (reminiscent of mongo’s grill)

mostly standard asian buffet fare, except for a taquito

i went crazy on this plate: garlic bread, cucumbers, stuffed jalapeƱo, egg salad, potatoes, and pizza

very pretty desert plate
i don’t know how i forgot to take after pictures…maybe i was just caught up in the buffet excitement. speaking of buffet excitement, you must check out the definitive buffet-eating guide. it includes sound advice, such as:
Grab a dinner plate, this is a must, always use the largest plate they offer, there is no need to use anything else. No salad plates, bread plates or smaller dishes. The only exception would be bowlable items and those should always be placed in the largest bowl (usually the soup bowl). Bowls can be at great vehicle for certain dishes such as nachos, where the cheese sauce would normally interfere with other items on a plate. The use of a bowl is quite often over looked.
